Pirate Galley Update - April 2025

Congratulations to the Seniors on completing their term here at Power. I asked the Seniors to provide me their favorite meals for the Senior Menu. They impressed me by not needing the recognition as to which student selected which meal. Thank-you for opening my eyes and finding a 3rd way to do your senior menu. We wish each of you the best of luck on your future endeavors.

The month of March has flown by. I guess that is what happens when you don’t work for a week. Thank-you to everybody for their patience as Becky and I adjusted the menu while I was unable to work. With all that being said we did celebrate the Brassicaceae family with Egg Roll in a bowl, Garden Veggie Pizza, and a Veggie Quiche. This coming month we are celebrating lentils. I am going to try to make some Brownie Batter Hummus with lentils for breakfast. Our salad bar will have our lentil crunchers.

As always feel free to come to me with any questions or comments. I can be reached through email at ltoeckes@power.k12.mt.us or at the school 406-463-2251.

FREE SUMMER FOOD PROGRAM

Hello everyone! The school year is quickly coming to an end! Therefore, I am looking to find out who will be interested in participating this year. I will be doing the same process as the last 2 years: A once a week pick up (Wednesday 9- 10 am) and will consist of 5 breakfasts and 5 lunches for each child. Please know that this is not just a program for our students/children here in Power but is available to all who are willing to do the weekly pickups. All children 18 and under qualify so please spread the word to friends and family!

If you are wanting to participate, please contact me thru text or email with your name, contact info and the number of children that will be receiving the meals. I hope to hear from you!
