Great news! We’ve received a Healthy Meals Incentives (HMI) Recognition Award from Action for Healthy Kids and USDA for our innovative strategies that provide nutritious school meals. We’re very proud of our staff who have been working hard to earn this recognition!

Congratulations to the Seniors on completing their term here at Power. I asked the Seniors to provide me their favorite meals for the Senior Menu. They impressed me by not needing the recognition as to which student selected which meal. Thank-you for opening my eyes and finding a 3rd way to do your senior menu. We wish each of you the best of luck on your future endeavors.

The month of March has flown by. I guess that is what happens when you don’t work for a week. Thank-you to everybody for their patience as Becky and I adjusted the menu while I was unable to work. With all that being said we did celebrate the Brassicaceae family with Egg Roll in a bowl, Garden Veggie Pizza, and a Veggie Quiche. This coming month we are celebrating lentils. I am going to try to make some Brownie Batter Hummus with lentils for breakfast. Our salad bar will have our lentil crunchers.
