State Basketball Commemoration Assembly

2023 is the 50 year anniversary of Power’s only boys State basketball championship.  To help commemorate this achievement, several activities have been scheduled for May 19-20.

 On May 19th, players, cheerleaders, and managers will meet at the school at 1:30 PM, for a school assembly honoring them, at 1:45 PM.  The public is invited and encouraged to attend! At 3:30 PM, a team photo opportunity is scheduled, at the gym. There should be time for visiting, a bit of school touring, storytelling, etc.

The 2023 Power Hall of Fame dinner will be at the Community Hall at 6:00, and that’s always a great event. The 1973 team, cheerleaders, managers, and coaches will ALL attend, providing another chance to take pictures, visit and tell stories.

Saturday, May 20 is PHS graduation at 3:00 PM. The school is planning to reserve a section of seats for the ‘73 team, coaches, cheerleaders, and managers, and to recognize them.
