Music Happenings

Thank you pep band for all of your hard work and peppy music for District and Divisional Tournaments! HS drumline you were awesome!! 

JH students (5-8) also sang beautifully at the Central Montana Youth Sing at the end of February! 

This is going to be a busy month!!! High school music students are diligently preparing for the District Music Festival and hopefully State Music as well. Junior high students are also busy preparing for JH Mass Band (5-8) and JH Mass Choir (7-8). All music students are excitedly preparing for their Spring Concert! 

JH Drumline has resumed practicing and will be performing at our Spring Concerts.

Important Dates: 

• Monday, April 7 - HS Choir and Band District Preview Concert - 5pm at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church 
• Thursday, April 10 - District Music Festival - Large Ensembles - HS Band/Choir at University of Providence/ GF 
• Friday, April 11 - District Music Festival - Solo/Ensemble HS Music Students at CMR 
• Monday, April 14 - JH Mass Choir (Grades 7-8) at GF Central HS
• Friday, April 25 - Power Community Art Show - HS music and JH students will  perform solos/ensembles during the art show! 
• Monday, April 28 - JH Mass Band (Grades 5-8) at Conrad Schools
• Friday and Saturday, May 2-3 State Music Festival  HS Music at GFHS
• Tuesday, May 13 - Spring Concert Grades 7-12
• Thursday, May 15 - Spring Concert Grades EK-6
• Saturday, May 17 - Graduation - Grades 7-8  and HS Choir and Band

Please make sure high school music students have black shoes and black socks before April 7. 

JH students will need black pants, white or black dress shirt, black socks and shoes. 

Elementary students - grades PK-4 are preparing a mini-musical, “Stone Soup”. They will need aprons and baker’s hats. I will send out a note to parents in the next few weeks with more prop and costume ideas needed for students.
